Next to the current new town, the ruins of the Old Town of Belchite are still standing, where one of the bloodiest and most desolate battles of the Spanish Civil War took place. We start by exploring the Traces of the Civil War In addition to the testimony of the Old Town of Belchite, there are numerous vestiges that allow us to know part of the episodes that took place during the Spanish Civil War. Next, we will take a tour of La Lomaza. Located in one of the only steppe landscapes in Europe, it is a wildlife refuge. Due to the aridity of the terrain, esparto grass, thyme, rosemary, ontinas and jarillas predominate. We will finish this fantastic tour with a walk through the Pozo de los Chorros. The neighbourhood is a space endowed with a great personality, delimited by portals that were located at both ends of the street, to close off the neighbourhood when so ordered. An archaeological site that hides the remains of a Roman city of still unknown name located about 15 kilometers from Uncastillo itself. Here we will do a fantastic Hiking Route.
